Homeless with Covid
Covid has transformed the lives of many around the world. Covid is a disease that attacks the immune and respiratory systems with force. Many people have, unfortunately, lost their lives. Families were devastated for not having the ability to say their goodbyes to their loved ones. Along the side of the travesty of Covid, many people are losing their jobs and their homes. People who have been with their jobs for 10s of years are now battling with finding a place to live. Families are forced to live in their cars or with friends and family. It has been a tough year for millions around the world.
With homelessness on the rise, rent also continues to do so. Unfortunately, with homeless on the rise, homeless shelters are becoming overwhelmed with people. People need solutions. The government does not seem to be prepared to help these people, so many are suffering. The elderly who are incapable of helping themselves are becoming homeless. Lives are being destroyed because of the virus. Yet, more and more are becoming homeless. What have we become as a society that money has more power than a person's life? The year 2020 has been incredibly scary and terrible for many people around the world. Money seems to dictate who deserves to live and who doesn't, and this is a sad reality for the human race. We must do more for our communities, and help one another. Covid shows no mercy, however, we can.
